The Canopy Stalkers
Coil-Claw Brood
Rainforest branches close over ruined ziggurat steps. The Coil-Claw Brood hunts from the leaf-layer, three reptilian hunters that share one kill. A Jungle Hood-Master waits in a woven leaf hood with a blowgun and a venom blade. A Canopy Skink clings upside-down and spits a slowing dart. A Frilled Bone-Cracker drops into the path, jaws first, and holds whatever tries to run.
The skink opens from hiding. Slowed prey cannot clear the vines. The hood-master's blowgun follows, and a failed save drops a scout into the mulch. The bone-cracker then bites and grapples. A prone body under ripping claws does not stand back up.
